&Design
Code of Conduct

Who Must Follow Our Code?

We expect all of our leaders, employees, mentors and fellows to know and follow the Code. Failure to do so can result in termination of relationship. Moreover, while the Code is specifically written for &Design leaders, employees, mentors and fellows, we expect &Design contractors, consultants, and others who may be temporarily assigned to perform work or services for &Design to follow the Code in connection to their work with us. Failure of a &Design contractor, consultant, or other covered service provider to follow the Code can result in termination of their relationship with &Design.

What If I Have a Code-Related Question or Concern?

If you have a question, concern, or believe a violation of law has occurred, please contact Antionette Carroll or Timothy Bardlavens immediately; if the issue is related to one of these individuals, please contact the other.

No Retaliation

&Design prohibits retaliation against any person who reports or participates in an investigation of a possible violation of our Code, policies, or the law. If you believe you are being retaliated against, please contact Antionette Carroll or Timothy Bardlavens.

Integrity

Our reputation as a company that communities and partners can trust is our most valuable asset, and it is up to all of us to make sure that we continually earn that trust. All of our communications and other interactions with our communities and partners should increase their trust in us.

Harassment, Discrimination, and Bullying

&Design prohibits discrimination, harassment and bullying in any form—verbal, physical, or visual—on the basis of sex, race, color, nationality, ethnic or national origin, ancestry, citizenship, religion (or belief, where applicable), age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, genetic information or characteristics (or those of a family member), or any other category protected under applicable federal, state, or local law. If you believe you’ve been bullied or harassed by anyone at &Design, or by an &Design partner or vendor, we strongly encourage you to immediately report the incident to Antionette Carroll or Timothy Bardlavens. As company leaders, they will promptly and thoroughly investigate any complaints and take appropriate action.

We consider the following non-exhaustive list to be unacceptable behavior:

  • Sexual harassment.

  • Offensive language, jokes or degrading comments.

  • Racial, ethnic, gender or religious slurs.

  • Intimidating or threatening behavior.

Harassment, sexual or otherwise, is determined by your actions and how they impact others, regardless of your intentions. If you or someone else is the subject of discrimination or harassment, speak up and report it.

Speak up
